The first four-year Catholic university campus in Arizona
A vibrant campus that sprawls throughout downtown Mesa offering our students a variety of opportunities to learn and grow academically and professionally right in their backyard
An impressive array of athletic accomplishments and student honors in our short history, including the 2019 NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Championship!
Answering the prayers of many Arizona Catholics, the first four-year Catholic university campus in Arizona has brought the opportunity for students to engage both their Catholic faith and a quality liberal arts education. Despite not having a local Benedictine abbey, the Mesa Campus has embraced many of the traditions and teachings of the Rule of St. Benedict, putting them into practice in a transformative way for students, faculty and staff, and the broader community. Home to a burgeoning Campus Ministry program, a hearty Benedictine Oblate group, and with campus leadership that fully embraces our Benedictine and Catholic identity, BenU Mesa is proudly carrying on the BenU way; giving an urban spin on Benedictine education for the 21st century!

call to serve the common good
With the creation of BenU's Mesa campus, the community grew beyond the Benedictine Four Corners. True community accounts for every member, no matter their location, no matter their needs. As the only 4-year Catholic university in Arizona, the expansion of the Benedictine University community filled a need and desire. The Lisle and Mesa campuses share in the unity of community dedicated to a common mission. How can you grow the communities you are in? What needs have you seen, near or far, that your community can fill?
