Bell Roar Writing Contest!

Emma Creasy - November 21ST, 2018

To keep things fresh over here at the Roar during these dreary winter months, we’ll be hosting a writing contest open to all students at Bell High School. Maybe you’re a monthly reader of the Roar and want to show off your own writing chops, or perhaps you’re a poet and you know it! Either way, we’re excited to see what you come up with, Bruins.

With categories ranging from nonfiction to poetry to short story, and sections for everyone including our grade 7/8 and ESL friends, you’ll be sure to find something that piques your interest. You may make one submission to each category. We’ll have a panel of teachers and Roar staff as judges, and pieces will be reviewed anonymously.

The cherry on top? Winners will each receive a $25 gift card and have their work published in the January edition of the Roar! So there’s no excuse not to get writing!

Submit your piece(s) to theroarbellnewspaper@gmail.com by December 14th to enter - good luck!
