A Western Electric 526BM outdoor phone with components from 1979-1980. It is all complete and has been rewired to work as an actual telephone. It was originally wired as an outdoor intercom. From the condition of the case, this phone spent its whole life out in the elements, sporting light graffiti and heavy damage. The lower door hinge had to be repaired, and it has since broke again after taking the pictures.
Now that enough time has past, I may or may not have "liberated" this phone from the local central office. They weren't using it anymore and it was full of leaves and spiders, so no harm, right? I like to look at it that I saved this piece of history from a landfill and even went through the trouble of uninstalling it for them.
