This website's purpose is to archive and share many pieces and examples of the history that the Bell System left behind. All of these artifacts tell a story, whether it's a personal story or just a part of the larger tale that is Bell System lore. While there is still plenty left of the Bell System, time is not kind to things that are forgotten, and we lose pieces of its existence every day. The goal is to document as many artifacts from the Bell System to share with the world. There are so many things the Bell System made, printed, and sold, that this collection is just a small piece of the history. With this site, there is hope that at least some things will be remembered, and keep alive the spirit of service that the Bell System was devoted to.
A note about the pictures:
All of the pictures on the site are edited by me for optimal clarity and lighting to make up for my amateur photography skills.
About Me:
I am an enthusiast with a passion for history and telecommunications, and this is the perfect intersection of that. The Bell System story has fascinated me for years, and I marvel at the fact how one corporate organization could do so much over eighty years. I want to keep the memory alive in some way, and I think of this as doing my part in that. This is the first time that I have done anything like this, so if I get things wrong or if it seems amateurish, that's because it is and I ask you to forgive me. This site is a constant work in progress, and I will try to upload pictures as soon as I photograph them.
