Tonka Truck

This is a Tonka telephone cherry-picker truck from probably the 70s, although I am unsure of how to precisely date it. The basket and arm can move up and down, and in a complete circle. The main chassis is metal while the truck bed is plastic. A sturdy toy for kids of any age.

Archivist's notes: I found this at an estate sale for about $20. It was originally double that, and I still kinda scoffed at the price that I got it for, but I knew the people running it and it was the only piece of Bell System history that I got that day, so I got over it pretty quickly. It's a nice toy, and it reminds me of the Tonka trucks I used to play with when I was very young.
