In the first week of June 2021, we got a proposal to partner as one of the two centres for validation study for their equipment AI100. AI100 is a slide scanner that incorporates artificial intelligence using Tensorflow and OpenCV along with other algorithms to precisely identify cells in the peripheral smear, count them and classify based on the international criteria. The equipment is capable of identifying and classifying normal and abnormal cells of RBC, WBC and platelets.
The project was taken to IEC, got approved, and the study was successfully completed on saturday. The analysis results are promising and will become a key in supporting automated miscrosoping analysis using artificial intelligence.
