The KA1 Mobility Project has given me the opportunity to observe and participate in competency-based lessons and workshops in a different educational and organizational school system, allowing me to acquire new skills and ideas. I was also able to make contact with other teachers in order to plan future student exchanges. Besides, It has inspired me, and I’ve encouraged my coworkers to incorporate more competency-based learning activities in our regular lessons. Overall, I think this was a worthwhile and unique experience, and I encourage more schools to participate.

Last May I visited Mercantec, a large educational institution in Viborg, Danmark, together with 4 teachers from different high schools from Barcelona on an Erasmus+ KA1 programme. This experience gave us the opportunity to discuss our experiences as teachers, to compare how our Education systems differ and, at the same time, it allowed us to learn good practices on school dropout prevention and competence-based teaching and learning and discover new mobility opportunities. Exchanging ideas with Catalan and Danish teachers was amazing and deeply enriching as it helped me see new ways in which my own school could improve.
Our hosts were really kind and worked really hard to ensure we could enjoy their school and our stay. When I came back I was really excited to share all I had learnt with my colleagues and implement some of the good practices I had seen.
I strongly recommend schools to participate in this programme as it gives you the opportunity to understand the educational policies and practices of European countries. Besides, it is an exceptional opportunity to create a network of possible twinned schools.

This project has been a unique experience to see how different can be an educational system if we compare to ours. In addition, it has allowed me to learn a lot of key points that I'm going to apply to my daily job.
This has been an awesome stay to share with teachers from other high schools and also administration staff, because we have been able to pick up all the information much more widely and check the possibility of implementation in our country. Furthermore, we also have had the chance to share different points of views, management and positions of our own system.

I travelled to Viborg (Denmark) to visit Mercantec school last April thanks to the Erasmus KA1+ programme my high school takes part in. It was a fantastic experience. Together with other teachers from Barcelona, we were shown how they deal with issues such as dropout, mental health and also the combination of the post-compulsory studies at school with internships at companies. It was an opportunity to see how their system works and I brought home many ideas that I shared with my colleagues to apply them, for example, to the Batxillerat professionalitzador that we offer at INS La Guineueta. I also took many ideas from my fellow teachers, as the different schools from Barcelona taking part in this programme also have different solutions to solve the common issues that we face every day.
I am really grateful to the coordinators of this project for allowing me to take part in this trip. Our hosts, the Mercantec staff, were also fantastic showing us around their school and the city and giving well-detailed explanations whenever we had doubts.
I strongly encourage any school interested in this programme to take part in it. It brings a wider perspective to our everyday job and it is a perfect opportunity for networking and create exchange experiences in the future with our Danish partners.

Participating in the KA1 Mobility Project has been a very inspiring experience not only because it has brought us the possibility of knowing a new educational reality in a country like Denmark, close to us but also little known, but also because it has provided us a space for debate and exchange of perceptions and 'ideas about our profession that is quite hard to find in our daily practice. Knowing the organization of this technical post-compulsory studies, developed with a methodology as practical as flexible, has been truly interesting in our task to design the schedules and spaces according to the new curriculum in our school, I-E Costa i Llobera.
