The City Council Barcelona Education Consortium is a body established by the Government of Catalonia and Barcelona City Council for the joint management of education in the city of Barcelona.

One of the competences of the Consortium is to foster innovation programs among public schools.

Five high schools from Barcelona took part in the project and they visited Mercantec school in Denmark to observe teachers during their lessons and they shared expertise in early school leaving and innovation programs.
