Competence based learning

The project helped us to share knowledge about competence based learning.

What do we undestand for "competence based learning"?

• STUDENT: Has an active role in his learning. Student voice and choice.

• TEACHER: Acts as a facilitator of knowledge. Teachers have high expectations of their students success.

• LEARNING ACTIVITIES: They are relevant, meaningful, in context, real or simulated. Individual and collaborative. Linked to projects of real companies.

• METHODOLOGY: Fostering active learning (inquiry based learning, hands on, reflection)

• FEEDBACK: on time, focused on task and process of learning, positive and engaging students to go forward.

• INCLUSION: Promoting activities that don’t leave any student behind. Universal design of learning.

• GUIDANCE: Students set their goals and check them with their counselor. There’s an activity plan for the student’s guidance class.
