People coming to terms with being disabled living a new life unable to do things they did before the injury. Keep in mind the problem is not just confined to the United States. It is a worldwide epidemic.

Alcohol does play a role in accidents on railroads. Here we see again, someone drinking and almost getting killed on the tracks in England on an electrified railroad.
In this video, an officer is hit by a train and survived with multiple injuries while trying to apprehend a suspect trespassing on railroad tracks. He survived, but the suspect got away. Even police in doing their job can still be injured on a railroad.

Your death can even impact your family and that damage may never be fixed.

Racing a train and going around gates is very dangerous and deadly. This video shows what happens when an Amtrak train hits a car at a grade crossing. If caught by police, you will get a ticket if you are lucky to live. Think about people in your car when you decide to be irresponsible and show off. Look at the car and what it looked like. Look at the camera angles showing the accident as it happened. EVERYONE died because of an irresponsible driver.

Both fatalities and injuries need to be spoken about again like we did on the Hazards section of this site. Hearing firsthand what happened to a survivor of a train accident is impacting. The tragic part is that this did not need to happen and these survivors are LUCKY to have lived through a severe trauma from a train. Each person who lived, has reminders of that bad choice for the rest of their lives. People who died also leave behind grieving families and lives cut tragically short.
This is WHY you don't venture onto tracks or attempt to board moving freight trains. Forget what people post on social media about the adventure. That's totally untrue. Ignore the nasty comments on YouTube because they are made by ignorant people. This is reality. Here are some more videos you need to pay attention to:
