This library uses the CT Modbus Client but make it much easier.
This video shows a device that require almost zero setup. The EZ Modbus library knows how that device works. This runs as fast as CT modbus Client and you don't have to know how the IO works.

This video shows that you can use the generic tag function to easily talk to any I/O device. The only drawback is that it is slower then the standard CT Modbus Client because the Basic tags system only pulls one tag at a time.
