YUMA

Trivia/History:

• Owns two cats, Okoge (black) and Omaru (black/white) - both males afaik(?), his family owns two miniature dachshunds called Suica and Hime

• People often bring up horses around him because his face is considered long and thus a "horse face" in Japan, plus if you take away the Y from his name it becomes "uma" which means horse

• Was scouted when he went shopping in Shibuya/Harajuku

• He didn't start to learn how to dance because he wanted to but because his friends in Niigata dragged him along to dance class, he has danced for more than 6 years at this point and won the special judges' award at his hometown's festival. He also took part in several dance shows in the Tokyo Area (he moved to Tokyo from Niigata to pursue a career in entertainment)

• Yuma has an older sister (they share the same Birthday so she is pretty much exactly 2 years older ). He says that the reason why he was named "Yuma" was that his sister kept saying "ma ma uma" (when his mother was pregnant with him) which became "Yuma" in the end

• His mother is called Satomi (her Birthday is 8/24), his father is called Hajime. Yuma says his parents like to go on trips and will sometimes do so spontaneously. According to the other BQT members, Yuma's dad is quite "funky" and owns some flashy clothes (like fur jackets, fluffy big fur jackets). Some of them said Yuma's dad looks like Doflamingo from One Piece

• Goes snowboarding sometimes, considering he is from a snowy prefecture (Niigata, which is located up north from Tokyo), he is also the only member of BANQUET from outside the Kanto Area

• Yuma was a company employee for a construction company specializing in pachinko parlors and other amusement complexes before he moved to Tokyo to pursue a career in showbiz (when he first moved to Tokyo he had very little money)

• Yuma is the only member of BANQUET who lives by himself and not with his family, so the others often come to hang out at his apartment

• Yuma is the most tech savvy member of the group (he teaches the other members - notably Kaito and Yusuke - how to use their computers or how to use certain programs such as video editng software for their YouTube stuff)

• Yuma said the shoot for the "Shooting Star" MV was quite hard because it was very hot for spring time and they all died in their outfits while filming outside in Yokohama and later Fujisawa. He also said that Yasupon filmed their Life is so Beautiful dance video for them and they had to film that over 20 times because someone would either screw up the choreo or the equipment gave due to the heat and then there was just a whole lot of trouble all around (MixChannel 2020.06.09)

• Yuma said he does not have a lot of confidence in his voice, it might even be his complex

• Yuma does not like umeboshi or any sour plum flavoured things (also no 'sumomo' aka Japanese plums), he also does not like mushrooms much (though it depends on the dish, some he will eat)

• Yuma's miso soup: enoki and tofu, simple and cheap

• Yuma's favourite One Piece song was "Sayaendo" by NEWS

• Yuma loves seafood, especially oysters and he likes to go fishing. He used to go sea bass fishing when he was younger.

• Yuma puts soy sauce on his curry rice

• In the morning, the first thing Yuma does after he wakes up is to do a handstand so blood moves to his brain

• When BANQUET stays out of town together they usually decide how to split the rooms by rock/paper/scissors. Usually there's a room for 2 and a room for 3 people. Yuma said they usually just all end up staying in one room together in the end but since it gets cramped they return to their own beds eventually. He also says that Yusuke gets up the earliest out of all of them and Yusuke doesn't seem to have trouble getting up usually (Yuma, BIGO Live 2020.07.27)

• According to Yusuke, Yuma is really good at piercing people - he did the piercings for Yusuke, Toshi and KaiTo. (Yusuke, BIGO Live 2020.08.01) Yuma confirmed this and said he will give you a count down from 3 but will do it after 2, instead of after 1.

• Regarding the new song 煩悩サマー Yuma explained the title as representing BANQUET's 'desires' or as the accumulation of desires (煩悩 are the Worldly Desires in Buddhism) (Yuma, BIGO Live 2020.08.10)

• Yuma became the leader of BANQUET because their former manager told him to (Yuma, BIGO Live 2020.08.10)

• BANQUET was officially formed on 2016.07.17 according to Yuma but the date could vary depending on how you define "formed" (Yuma, BIGO Live 2020.08.10)
