Nicole is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board President for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Her goal is to foster professional and social events for students from all walks of life. She aims to ensure that students receieve the most they can from their graduate school experience. She acknowledges that a master's program is challenging in and of itself, which is why building a supportive community is vital.
Nicole is currently a middle school ELA teacher. She is passionate about equity and serving the student body in any way possible. She believes in cultivating community and advocating for students throughout their education journey. Additionally, she volunteers teaching migrants English. Nicole began her master's degree in Spring 2024 and graduated from CCNY with a BA in psychology in 2022. Her main areas of interest in I/O include DEI initiatives, leadership development and consulting, and employee engagement and satisfaction.
Fun Facts: Nicole is an avid music lover and enjoys most creative pursuits. She spends a lot of her time at live music venues and museums, and during the summer, she enjoys going to the beach, as she's based near Coney Island. She loves saying 'yes' to new experiences and travels frequently—most notably, she has been to Thailand, Morocco, much of Central America, and is currently continuing her quest across the United States.
Aimee is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Co-President for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Her goals include increasing student engagement, fostering a stronger sense of community, and helping students feel more connected and supported throughout their time in the program. She understands that everyone leads different lives with different schedules, but believes that connection and networking are at the core of the MSIO experience. Aimee is also passionate about expanding access to academic and professional opportunities to make sure students get the most out of their graduate journey.
Aimee currently works at a nonprofit that supports students in foster care, helping them succeed academically and pursue higher education. She earned her BA in Psychology and Child and Adolescent Mental Health from NYU and is deeply committed to educational equity and student advocacy.
Fun Facts: Aimee has lived in New York City for seven years and is excitedly counting down to her 10-year true New Yorker status. She lives in Brooklyn and loves thrifting, buying new plants, exploring different neighborhoods, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants and cocktail spots with friends. She will never say no to a happy hour and gab sesh. A dedicated Letterboxd user, she loves movie Tuesdays and is especially looking forward to the semester ahead because fall is her favorite season.
Sarah is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board VP and Project Management Operations Lead for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Among her goals are strengthening board collaboration through streamlined processes, enhancing student engagement, and supporting leadership development within the board. By fostering connection and belonging through well-structured initiatives and impactful programs, she aims to create a more engaging and sustainable experience for students in Baruch’s Master’s program.
Sarah is an international student currently volunteering as an assistant researcher for a Hunter College professor investigating the effects of different types of feedback on students’ writing. Her tasks include transcribing videos and serving as a second coder to establish interrater reliability. Sarah graduated from Hunter College in December 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and began her Master of Science degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Baruch in January 2024, graduating at the end of this year. Her I/O interests include talent acquisition, leadership and leadership development, organizational culture, change, and development, personality, and DEI.
Fun Facts: Sarah is originally from Brazil and loves travelling. She's a board-game aficionado, a true devotee of Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream, and a proud plant-mom. She also enjoys karaoke, watching real-estate and whodunit shows; and over the holidays, she can't get through the merry season without watching "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." (Ohhhh Maaaxxx!!)
Gabi is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Co-VP and Project Management Operations Co-Lead for the 2025–2026 academic year.
In this role, she is focused on strengthening board collaboration, improving efficiency through clear processes, and supporting the growth and success of fellow board members. By encouraging connection and belonging through well-structured initiatives, she aims to create an engaging, productive, and rewarding experience for students in Baruch’s Master’s in I/O program.
Outside of her board role, Gabi works as Operations and Client Services Coordinator at a boutique investment advisory firm. In this position, she supports day-to-day client service while also working across operations, marketing, and business development projects. She partners closely with leadership to keep processes running smoothly, refine systems, and bring structure to firm-wide initiatives. Gabi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from CUNY City College and began her Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Baruch in Fall 2024. She is especially interested in how organizations can design thoughtful systems that support both people and performance, with a focus on talent development, leadership, culture, and organizational change.
Fun Facts: Gabi is originally from rural California, but found her home in New York City eight years ago. She’s a proud dog mom to Maple, loves kpop, and always has too many arts & crafts projects in progress. You can often find her exploring shops and parks around the city, singing karaoke with her roommate, or watching an entire series in bed (with Maple!).
Learning & Development Co-Lead: Lidia Klain Romao
Lidia is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Learning & Development co-Lead for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Lidia is the MSIO Learning and Development Co-Lead academic year. Her goal is to create more learing opportunities for students to further develop their skills in the IO field.She also aims to connect students with professionals in the field to guide them into their future careers.
Lidia is an international student who is currently working as a Advancement Data Associate at a school and volunteering with an NGO focused on teaching English and professional skills to people in refugee situations. Lidia got bachelor's degree in psychology at Hunter College in 2023 and decided to pursue her Master’s in I/O psychology in 2024. Her main interests within the I/O field are directed towards DEI and leadership as she hopes to be an agent of change in creating a more equal and fair world
Fun facts: Lidia is an international student from Brazil and as a true gemini, she is a little social butterfly with too many interests. In her free time she loves to read fiction, discover new restaurants around New York (she is in a mission to find the city's best pesto pasta), travel and rot in her bed watching reality TV shows. Although her singing skills are questionable, she will never say no to karaoke with her friends.
Learning & Development Co-Lead: Emily Hewson
Emily is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Learning & Development Co-Lead for the 2025-2026 academic year.
She is dedicated to building a network of continuous learners who feel confident in their I/O Psychology knowledge and skills. By positioning the program as a distinct group of emerging professionals, she aims to develop relationships that will support alumni well beyond graduation.
During the week, Emily works as an Employment Supervisor in Brooklyn, leading a team of 9 Job Coaches and Developers who connect adults with disabilities to meaningful work. This role continues to strengthen her leadership, strategic thinking, and training expertise.
Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a counseling minor at the University at Buffalo, graduating a year early before pursuing graduate study at Baruch. She is eager to maximize her experience in the program and welcomes opportunities to connect and learn from others.
Fun Facts: Emily spends her free time at the gym, journaling, and caring for her plants. She recently got her first NYC Public Library card and dreams of writing a book – once she finishes a few hundred more discussion posts.
Student Engagement & Events Lead: Eileen Whelan
Eileen is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Student Engagement & Events Lead for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Her goal is to create a diverse and inviting environment where students can connect personally and professionally. She wants to ensure each student feel welcomed into the world of Baruch and IO!
Eileen started her Masters at Baruch in January 2025, and is excited to continue to learn and grow with the Baruch community. Her IO interests include employee engagement, health and wellness in the workplace, and occupational health psychology- but she looks forward to explore more topics throughout her education.
Fun Facts: Eileen went to undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) and loves anything related to sports or dessert (especially ice cream). Outside of school, Eileen loves to go on long walks or a run in Central Park and hopes to run the NYC Marathon next year!
Social Media & marketing Lead: Natalie Riddle
Natalie is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Social Media & Marketing Lead for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Natalie loves social media! She's excited to carry out the mission of the MSIO board through community building and outreach, using social media to foster engagement and create spaces where MSIO students feel connected and supported.
In addition to this role, Natalie works as a College Assistant for the MA in Liberal Studies program at the CUNY Graduate Center, where she supports faculty, staff, and students through communications and program operations. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Wisconsin in 2024 and moved to New York City from Minneapolis, MN shortly after. Her areas of interest include technology, AI, automation, the ethics surrounding AI usage, and DEI initiatives.
Fun facts: Natalie has a rescue cat named Sylvie. She also loves to read and write, her favoite book is My Year of Rest and Relaxation. In her free time you can find her going to an art museum or listening to live music.
Treasurer: Alexa Kahn
Alexa is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Treasurer for the 2025-2026 academic year.
In this role, she’s excited to keep the board organized and transparent with its finances while making sure resources are used in ways that support fun, engaging, and meaningful student experiences. Her goals include simplifying reimbursements, keeping everyone aligned on the budget, and making sure funds go toward events that bring people together.
Alexa started her career in finance at AIG before pivoting into HR, where she now works as an HR Generalist. She graduated from Tulane University in 2022 with a degree in finance and has always enjoyed blending her love of numbers with her passion for people—she previously served as treasurer of her sorority in undergrad. Her I-O interests include employee engagement, organizational culture, and early career development.
Fun Facts: Alexa is a total foodie and loves trying new cuisines and restaurants. She is also completely obsessed with her niece, Ellie, and nephew, Izzy, and fully embraces her role as the fun aunt, spending a lot of time doing kid-friendly activities.
Treasury Advisor: Finn Boettcher
Finn is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Treasury Advisor for the 2025-2026 academic year.
In this role, his primary goal is to support the transition of the incoming treasurer by providing guidance, ensuring continuity in financial operations, and helping establish practices that will benefit the Student Association long after his term ends.
Finn began his Master’s Degree in January 2024 and aims to graduate in December 2025. He currently works at Latchmere Consulting Group as an Associate Consultant, specializing in project management and process analysis. His academic and professional interests center on talent development and assessment, with a focus on building systems that balance organizational needs and individual growth. Finn graduated from Catawba College in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and business administration.
Fun Facts: Finn is an international student from Germany and loves to explore new countries and cultures. He spent his junior year living in Northern Spain. He enjoys hiking in nature, visiting museums, and playing soccer. In New York, his favorite activities include running in Central Park and discovering the city’s diverse neighborhoods
