Gabi is the President of the MSIO Student Association, where she leads the executive board and oversees the strategy and execution of the organization’s initiatives. She focuses on strengthening collaboration across the board, creating clear and sustainable processes, and maintaining partnerships with other student organizations and I/O psychology groups across the NYC metro area. Her goal is to build an engaging, supportive student community that offers meaningful opportunities for connection, professional development, and career exploration.
Outside of MSIO, Gabi works as an Operations and Client Services Coordinator at a Midtown NYC-based investment advisory firm. She supports day-to-day client service while contributing to operations, marketing, and business development projects, partnering closely with leadership to refine internal systems, improve workflows, and help translate ideas into well-executed, firm-wide projects.
Gabi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in Italian from CUNY City College and began her M.S. in IO Psychology at Baruch in Fall 2024. She is especially interested in how organizations design thoughtful systems that support both people and performance, with a particular focus on leadership, talent development, culture, and organizational change.
Fun Facts: Gabi is from rural California but has loved living in NYC for the past 9 years. She likes to spend her (very little) free time with her rescue dog, Maple, working on arts & crafts projects, sweating at CycleBar, spending time with her family, and singing her favorite songs. She goes to as many k-pop concerts, live music shows and broadway musicals as she can!
Rachel is the MSIO Vice President / Project Management & Operations for the 2026 academic year. She is committed to evolving the MSIO program into a more cohesive, interactive community through intentional project management and cohort-building. Rachel’s goal is to ensure that every member of the program feels connected to a supportive and vibrant professional network.
Outside of her MSIO duties, Rachel works as a Receptionist and Phlebotomist at a Brooklyn clinic, complemented by her role as a Teaching Assistant for 450+ psychology students. By managing complex workflows and collaborating within a dedicated academic team, she is building a robust foundation in organizational management and large-group facilitation.
Rachel earned her Bacherlor's degree in Psychology at Stony Brook University in 2020, and began her Master's degree in I/O Psychology at Baruch College in Fall 2025. She is driven to explore how effective leadership can elevate team performance to meet strategic business goals while simultaneously fostering a deep sense of personal achievement for every team member.
Fun facts: Rachel loves to crochet and opened an Etsy shop to sell her creations. She is also working on setting up physical market booths so that she can meet her customers in real life. She also loves to travel, dance, write, and sing, and aspires to creates vlogs of her vacations, shorts of her dancing, websites of fanfictions, and YouTube covers of her singing.
Emily is the MSIO Learning and Development Co-Lead for the 2025-26 academic year. She is dedicated to building a network of continuous learners who feel confident in their I/O Psychology knowledge and skills. By positioning the program as a distinct group of emerging professionals, she aims to develop relationships that will support alumni well beyond graduation.
During the week, Emily works as an Employment Supervisor in Brooklyn, leading a team of 9 Job Coaches and Developers who connect adults with disabilities to meaningful work. This role continues to strengthen her leadership, strategic thinking, and training expertise.
Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a counseling minor at the University at Buffalo, graduating a year early before pursuing graduate study at Baruch. She is eager to maximize her experience in the program and welcomes opportunities to connect and learn from others.
Fun Facts: Emily spends her free time at the gym, journaling, and caring for her plants. She recently got her first NYC Public Library card and dreams of writing a book – once she finishes a few hundred more discussion posts.
Aki is the MSIO Learning and Development Co-Lead with a focus on Event Strategy and Execution for the 2026 academic year. She is dedicated to supporting students' experience and growth by developing intentional L&D initiatives through active collaboration, accessible programming, and feedback synthesis. Her goal is to support curious learners, build genuine connections, and drive visible results that benefit fellow emerging I/O professionals even beyond their graduation.
Aside from her MSIO duties, Aki works as a College Assistant for the Ph.D. Program in Chemistry at the CUNY Graduate Center, ensuring smooth operation of the program through administrative efforts and marketing support.
Having grown up in Guangzhou, she learned resilience, initiative, and the power of human connections through her college years in California. Shortly after graduating a year early from UC Irvine with a degree in Psychological Science and a minor in Management, she moved to New York City to embark on her grad school journey in I/O Psychology. She is particularly interested in how to support employee growth and experience in a rapidly changing world by leveraging cross-functional collaboration.
Fun facts: Aki loves food, nature, art, and FaceTime sessions with loved ones. She enjoys cooking and dreams of opening a restaurant one day (the dream is slowly fading away because of the harsh reality).
Learning & Development Co-Lead (Outreach & Communication): Wenona Taiping-Moccia
Wenona is the MSIO Learning and Development Co-Lead for the 2026 academic year, with a focus on communication and outreach. In this role, she is passionate about creating opportunities that support MSIO students' professional growth and strengthen their connections to the broader I/O psychology community. She is especially interested in designing initiatives that promote skill-building, collaboration, and accessible professional development for students at all stages of the program.
Outside of her role on the MSIO board, Wenona works as a part-time barista in Downtown Jersey City, where she enjoys the fast-paced, people-centered nature of the work and the opportunity to build meaningful connections through everyday interactions.
Wenona earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Elon University and began her Master of Science in I/O Psychology at Baruch College in Fall 2025. She is excited to deepen her understanding of I/O theories and principles and apply them in practical workplace settings. She is particularly drawn to roles that blend data-driven decision-making with human-centered organzational practices. Her current interests include psychometrics, human analytics, leadership, and work-life balance.
Fun Facts: Wenona is a proud guinea pig mom to Miranda and Bean. When she's not caring for their many needs, she enjoys reading, walking and hiking, experimenting in the kitchen, and cooking for her family.
Social Media & marketing Lead: Natalie Riddle
Natalie is the MSIO Marketing and Social Media Lead for the 2025–2026 academic year. She is excited to carry out the mission of the MSIO board through community building and outreach, using social media to foster engagement and create spaces where MSIO students feel connected and supported.
Natalie works as a College Assistant in the Master’s in Liberal Studies program at the CUNY Graduate Center, where she enjoys learning about a wide range of academic fields and supporting faculty and students in their academic journey. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies.
Her research interests center on AI, automation, and technology in the workplace, with a particular emphasis on taking an interdisciplinary approach to understanding how emerging technologies shape work, workers, and organizational systems.
In her free time, Natalie enjoys reading a good book, crocheting, going to concerts, listening to Bob Dylan, running, cooking, and most of all spending time with her cat.
Student Engagement & Events Lead: Eileen Whelan
Eileen is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Student Engagement & Events Lead for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Her goal is to create a diverse and inviting environment where students can connect personally and professionally. She wants to ensure each student feel welcomed into the world of Baruch and IO!
Eileen started her Masters at Baruch in January 2025, and is excited to continue to learn and grow with the Baruch community. Her IO interests include employee engagement, health and wellness in the workplace, and occupational health psychology- but she looks forward to explore more topics throughout her education.
Fun Facts: Eileen went to undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) and loves anything related to sports or dessert (especially ice cream). Outside of school, Eileen loves to go on long walks or a run in Central Park and hopes to run the NYC Marathon next year!
Student Events & Engagement Co-Lead: Julia Witczak
Julia is the MSIO Student Engagement and Events Co-Lead for the 2026 academic year. She is dedicated to creating a strong and inclusive community, where students can build lifelong friendships and connections. In this role, she hopes to foster a collaborative and supportive environment, providing students with a space for open and honest conversation and where they can feel a sense of belonging beyond the classroom.
Outside of her role on the MSIO board, Julia conducts research at the CUNY Graduate Center in the Computational Psychology Lab, where she explores applied psychometrics and the development of assessments for personnel selection.
Julia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a certificate in Neuroscience from Princeton University, and began her M.S. in I/O Psychology at Baruch in Fall 2025. She is particularly interested in employee wellness and how data-informed decision making in the workplace drives the development of meaningful changes and strategies towards a healthy and supportive employee experience.
Fun Facts: Julia loves to read and watch psychological thrillers, one of her all-time favorite books being The Silent Patient. She is a coffee aficionado, always experimenting with different recipes, and she is currently on the hunt for the best WFH coffee shop in the city. Julia was a cheerleader in college, and she promises to always be your biggest cheerleader.
Treasurer: Alexa Kahn
Alexa is the MSIO Student Association Executive Board Treasurer for the 2025-2026 academic year.
In this role, she’s excited to keep the board organized and transparent with its finances while making sure resources are used in ways that support fun, engaging, and meaningful student experiences. Her goals include simplifying reimbursements, keeping everyone aligned on the budget, and making sure funds go toward events that bring people together.
Alexa started her career in finance at AIG before pivoting into HR, where she now works as an HR Generalist. She graduated from Tulane University in 2022 with a degree in finance and has always enjoyed blending her love of numbers with her passion for people—she previously served as treasurer of her sorority in undergrad. Her I-O interests include employee engagement, organizational culture, and early career development.
Fun Facts: Alexa is a total foodie and loves trying new cuisines and restaurants. She is also completely obsessed with her niece, Ellie, and nephew, Izzy, and fully embraces her role as the fun aunt, spending a lot of time doing kid-friendly activities.
