Excellence In Education 2022
Congratulations Jeff Durell! We were honored to present Jeff Durell with the 2022 Excellence In Education Award. Mr. Durell is an inspirational social studies teacher at BMS. He demonstrates enthusiasm, innovation, and a willingness to try the unusual in order to reach students. He takes on extra duties and responsibilities to enhance a positive school climate. Jeff not only finds ways for his students to excel, but his team members as well.
At the June 7th School Board Meeting, we presented him with a plaque and personal check to honor his outstanding efforts. Thank you Jeff for your dedication to Barrington's students and teachers!

End 68 Summer Essentials Bags
On June 6th we handed off 16 bags of "Summer Essentials" to the End 68 Hours of Hunger Barrington NH crew. End68 does the amazing work of providing food for Barrington children who need it. Each year we collaborate with End68 to get those kiddos some things that bring some fun to their summers. This year's bags included items like sunblock, bug repellent bracelets, and beach balls...and also a bunch of craft materials and ideas for creating their own games. We hope the kiddos have a creative summer!
We would like to thank the Barrington Public Library's Board of Trustees for acquiring award-winning books for the middle school recipients. Also the Great Bay Discovery Center generously donated Osprey Kite Kits for all 16 recipients. Thank you so much!
May 7, 2022 was the Peeper Race and it was such a great time. Our team, the Running Readers, was the largest team with 36 registrants! Thanks to all who participated, volunteered, cheered us on, and made the morning so wonderful!
BSF Kid Zone @ Peeper Race was awesome!
BSF hosted the Kids' Zone at the 2022 Peeper Race. There were obstacles, ring toss, giant connect 4, and books. It was so wonderful to meet local families and enjoy a chilly spring morning outdoors.
Teacher Appreciation @ BMS
Thank you Barrington Middle School educators for all you do for your students. We hope you enjoy the trail mix and iced coffee we brought in for you. We appreciate how you guide your students on their TRAILS to success!
Community Collaboration to Honor Excellence in Education
On January 19th, 2021, we delivered 42 books to BMS, BES, and the ECLC to honor the recipients of the 2019-2020 Excellence in Education (awarded all teachers and staff in the Barrington schools to recognize their extraordinary efforts in the spring of 2020). Classroom teachers were invited to select a book about social justice, diverse perspectives, and inclusion; books were also presented to the school libraries to honor the staff. Twelve generous community members joined BSF to acquire the books, making this a community collaboration to thank our town's amazing educators.
