Bangladesh Advance Robotics Research Center conducted a day long workshop on “Robo Tech Leadership Program- Let us make a Robot” at “Saradeshwari Girls High School” in last Saturday dated August 31, 2019.
This program was attended by nearly 170 students. The principal of the school Mr. Ratan Kumar Roy inaugurated the workshop with his brief speech in which he highlighted the importance of present-day Robotics research in Bangladesh.
Md. Rahatul Islam, CEO & Vice-president,BARRC and Arup Ratan Nath, Director of Planning ,Marketing And Operation,BARRC conducted the workshop as trainers. During the workshop, trainer Md. Rahatul Islam, also the Co-Founder of ‘Idea Shop Innovation Center’ pointed out all the necessary technical ‘know-how’ to start working on robotics from the beginning followed by introducing group project work at the 1st part of the session.
During the second session, the other trainer, Arup Ratan Nath, Research Assistant of Canadian University of Bangladesh, also the Executive Program Director of Advanced Robotics Resource Center, gave his valuable and inspirational talk among the students.
With a view to focusing, encouraging and inspiring the current young generation in the next generation technical advances, i.e. robotics and artificial intelligence, Bangladesh Advanced Robotics Resource Center and Canadian University of Bangladesh aim to create four tech expert from the High School and College level from each district of Bangladesh starting with Dinajpur.
At the last session of the workshop, both the trainers, showed students the Android Control Robot, Obstacle Robot, Decision on Temperature control and how to program to change the direction on graphical user interfaces.
Disha Roy and Manjur Morshed from Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology assisted in completing the event.
