Department of Political Science 

The Department of Political Science is one of the oldest departments of the college. It is a part of the institute since 1962  when the college was formally established. The department is offering B.A. Course (both honours & regular) since its very inception. Remarkably, since 2017, being received formal permission from Gauhati University,  the department is also offering M.A. programme. Along with this, the department conducts regular seminars and workshops on multifarious issues in social science. By looking at the academic and professional development of the students,  the department encourages students to actively take part in various creative and skill enhancement programmes.
