A parent Teacher Meeting for B.A. 1st Semester Students was held on 19th December 20201 to discuss the performance of students with their parents. Parents were given feedback on their ward’s performances in the 1st Sessional Exam 2021.

It was a great interaction between the teacher and the parents for the development of their children where they discussed both the strengths and areas of improvement. The progress report was shown to the parents and their suggestions were noted. Any sign of a child failing to make progress is questioned and addressed.

The PTM came to an end with the conclusion that joint effort, mutual understanding and co-operation of parents and teachers is very important for the proper nourishment and progress of students.

National Constitution Day was celebrated at the Department of Political Science, Barnagar College, Sorbhog on 26 November 2021 to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. To reiterate the values enshrined in the Constitution, the students recited the Preamble of the Constitution. The students of the department reaffirmed their commitment to the Indian Constitution by taking the pledge in the department. 

An online orientation Programme was organized on 16/05/2021 to demonstrate the use of ICT in Teaching and learning activities to Support the Educational process. The unprecedented academic environment brought by the COVID-19 pandemic led to the evolution of online teaching as an ineluctable tool for education and training.

An student "Induction program" was organized  by Dept. of Political Science on 11/10/2022 to introduce and formally welcome the new students to Department of Political Science . The event featured informative and descriptive speech about the aims and objectives of "CBCS" system by respective faculty members. This event also included  "Career Counseling" and various fun activities between teachers and students. 

"The Freshmen Social" program was organized by  senior students and teachers of Department of Political Science on 09/09/2022 to give heart warming welcome to the newest edition of students to Department of Political Science . This event featured motivative and  energetic speech from respective faculty members and senior students. An cultural program and individual introduction & interaction program was also took place in this same event . 

The Department of Political Science organized a "Student Orientation" programe on 03/11/2022, in which the students of B.A 3rd semester presented a informative presentation about "Modernism and Post-Modernism" in front of 1st semester students.

Barnagar College, Sorbhog organized a "Inter Department Wall Magazine" competition in the occasion of 61th College Week in which "Department of Political Science was able to secure 3rd place featuring "India's Foreign Policy". The Head of the Department of Political Science Mr. Rezaul Karim Ahmed inaugurated the wall magazine on 28/01/2023 .

 A "Farewell Program " was organized by junior students and teachers of Department of Political Science on 27/04/2023 in this event the seniors  were given a certificate of appreciation on behalf of Department for their important contributions in this periods of three years . A cultural program was also took place and respective teachers gave motivation and blessings to the students for their bright future . 

On the occasion of World Environmental Day, the Department Political Science & Political Science Society, IQAC,NSS,EEC, Department of English & in association with NIYOR(NGO) organised a plantation drive in "Paschim Barnagar Higher Secondary School". An meeting also took place themed "Solution to Plastic Pollution" in which respecting teachers gave a valuable speech addressing  to the students about the importance of environment and sustainability.
