The Bandys FFA Chapter has a long standing tradition of success through the National Chapter Award Program through the hard work of chapter officers, advisors and members to meet the rigorous standards set forth by National FFA.
The National Chapter Award is awarded to FFA chapters throughout the state and nation who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and it's mission to help grow leaders, build communities and strengthen agriculture.
Chapters must develop and implement a comprehensive Program of Activities in which they complete a minimum of 1 activity in each of the following 15 Quality Standards:
Growing Leaders
Leadership, Healthy Lifestyle, Scholarship, Personal Growth & Career Success
Building Communities
Environmental, Human Resources, Citizenship, Stakeholder Engagement & Economic Development
Strengthening Agriculture
Support Group, Chapter Recruitment, Safety, Agricultural Advocacy & Agricultural Literacy
The award application is judged on the State Level with Gold being the highest award given to the top 10% of chapters within the state and are eligible to compete at the National Level for Star Ranking. Until 2009 this was a 1-4 star ranking and then transferred to a 1-3 star system with the top 3% of chapters earning 3 star status.
