Students will begin signing required paperwork for State Contest
Students need to bring all weapons and ammunition that they are planning to take to the state contest in addition to any bag they may use to carry their hearing and eye protection.
Students will have weapons and cases checked by coaches at each station.
If you are using the same case for rifle/shotgun, please let the coach know so that we can finish tagging at the last station.
Any bags need to be checked by Mrs. Parker or Brian at the picnic tables.
Students will sign required paperwork for State Contest.
Be sure to pack your 2025 Hunter Safety T-Shirt/Hat for competition! (Wear on Saturday)
Meet at Carolina Glove Mill Parking Lot at 5:00 pm to load the trailer.
Students should bring all firearms and bags to put on the trailer.
Any snacks/refreshments can be loaded as well for the group. (30 students on team)
Parents/Coaches are welcome to follow the trailer down to the hotel.
Hunter Safety Parents & Students should plan on meeting in the parking lot of the hotel at 5:45 am.
All should eat breakfast before going to the contest site.
We will be carpooling students to the competition, if you have a larger vehicle that can transport multiple students and are willing to drive, please let Mrs. Parker know Friday night as we will have 2 equipment passes.
The gates will open at 6:30 am for teams to enter the camp.
Address for Parent Parking: 2030 Gibson Mill Rd, Ellerbe, NC 28338
Handicap & shuttle is available from this address.
All students should be at the "Tent City" sites 47, 53-54 by no later than 7:00 am
We cannot complete the safety check in until all team members are present.
The earlier we are checked in the earlier that teams can begin their rotations.
There are no grills or onsite cooking allowed (although we can bring sandwiches)
No dogs or pets are allowed at the event.
If you have others meeting you, this is the location you should give for them to meet you at.
No person/child should be on the berms at any time.
Rotations
More than likely the three teams will not be together during rotations. We will treat our "Tent City" site as a base camp and all team members should stay with their group to rotate between stations, following the instruction of their designated coach/leader.
