Pro-science views are common sense

In this day and age, misinformation and false news regarding science & health topics are directing people away from cold, hard facts and towards dangerous alternative treatments, unwarranted skepticism, and confusion.

/u/bandic00t_ believes in what years of applying the scientific method has confirmed as the verifiable truth, including the proven effectiveness and safety of vaccines and that climate change is real and man-made (see more: Environment).

One major health concern is the use of tobacco, which science shows is an addictive drug that can cause many cancers and diseases and often harm the unborn. Despite this, tobacco companies are still able to sell tobacco products with attractive-looking branding, which may appeal to teenagers and lead them down a road to addiction and health problems down the line. As your congressman, /u/bandic00t_ introduced a tobacco plain packaging bill, which would make all cigarette packs use a plain packaging with graphic and prominent warnings, in accordance with recommendations from world public health authorities.
