/u/bandic00t_ has analyzed the evidence himself and knows for a fact that climate change is a real, man-made issue affecting people across the world, including Alaskans and Hawaiians, along with all other Sierrans and human beings.
However, do-nothing Democrats and Socialists across America keep attempting to institute bad policy to attempt combating it, like unnecessarily fining companies high amounts for single-use plastics, a high tax on non-electric cars (both in the Atlantic Commonwealth), and establishing unnecessarily large and bureaucratic regulatory bodies.

Common-sense solutions
We need solutions today to properly tackle climate change, including in the field of energy. Democrats and Republicans have been lied to for decades about nuclear power; if done properly, it is one of the safest, most effective, and least carbon-emitting sources of power known, contrary to popular belief. Congressman /u/bandic00t_ will support efforts for reasonable de-regulation and policy moves in that field, including funding for the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste site. /u/bandic00t_ also supports use of renewable energy sources like wind and solar where nuclear power cannot feasibly be used.
However, this is also a time where we need to develop new, cutting-edge solutions to our energy issues. One of them is nuclear fusion energy; while it's not quite there, it is very promising and could lead to an energy revolution, even more than nuclear fission power. This is why /u/bandic00t_ supports the development of nuclear fusion power and would vote for funding to research and develop it.
