Referee Development

In 2008 the Balmain Referee Association together with the Balmain Junior League instituted the Cliff Brown Scholarship which is awarded to the referee who is selected to tour Queensland and the North Coast of NSW with the Harold Matthews Squad. Cliff Brown was one of our games most respected and knowledgeable referees and he worked tirelessly on referee recruitment and development.
