Regular physical activity has many health benefits for people of all ages. A systematic review was conducted to examine the health benefits of badminton, a popular sport worldwide. The review analyzed published scientific literature and followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines. An exhaustive search was conducted on four electronic databases using the search terms “badminton AND health” and “badminton AND benefits”. 27 studies were included in the review, and it was concluded that badminton engagement can improve overall health, with physical health being the most studied area. Improvements in cardiac and pulmonary functions and the development of basic physical capacities were observed.
