February Meeting Minutes

Upcoming events:
1) Someone Special Dance (Sam lead)
· DJ Confirmed
· Food
o Boosters to provide popcorn
o Sign up genius for goldfish, mini cupcakes, cookies, water and juice boxes
· Things that still need to be done:
o Coordinate police detail (Sam)
o Make Flyers (Sam)
o Send out sign up genius (Donna is making it, hopeful to post on Friday)
o Get table cloths for tables (Sam)
o Get decorations for photo booth (Sam)
o Get stepping stool for photo booth (? Amanda?)
o Coordinate Key club volunteers (Donna)
o Finish baskets for raffle and promote (Sam)
o Order the light projector
o Trays/ bowls for food
2) Meadow Farms (Erin Lead)
· Coordination already happening- boxes to arrive at school soon. Jeannie aware. Will need day to distribute to classes once they arrive
3) Book Fair (? Sam lead)
· Going ahead with new format suggested by teachers
· Books have been selected per grade
· Preview breakfast for teachers
· Things that still need to be done
o Update facility use form
o Speak with Scholastic (likely early next week)
o Go over teacher’s scholastic bucks allotment with rep
o Sign up genius for volunteers
o Letter to parents/ teachers
o Talk to Dr. Childs about sign up for preview day
4) Teacher Appreciation (Courtney lead)
· Will talk more about this next meeting as Courtney could not attend this meeting
· ? doing another joint coffee cart with the school board?
5) Bakie Swag
· Parents have indicated they would like option without school name on it for personal security reasons. Will work with Dr. Childs/ Collins sports to see if dragon only design can be approved and done this year. May need to hold off until next year?
6) Field day
· When is it happening?
· Do boosters need to do anything (usually help with getting volunteers and provide Kona Ice truck)
· Possibly getting each grade T shirts?
7) Past business
· How is the sensory walks coming along?
· As spring approaches are we thinking of doing the repainting of the playground this year or would that be an over the summer project? Is the district covering this?
