Current Booster Activities
Finger Printing
The Boosters have worked with the District and the Kingston police to get extended hours for fingerprinting. Fingerprinting and background checks are now required for most volunteer opportunities in the school. Extended hours are:
Aug. 14th to Sept. 15th M-F 12-3
After Sept 15th the hours will revert to M-F 11-11:30am and 3-3:30 pm
You will need to bring the volunteer packet (download from school website) and an ID to the police department. Once completed please bring the packet and a check for $21.25 to the superintendent's office.
We urge anyone thinking of volunteering in the school this year to do this in advance as volunteer opportunities fill up quickly.

Past Booster Activities
2022-2023 School Year
Fall Clothing Drive
The Boosters' 2022 fall clothing drive came to an end at the Spooktacular. Our collection box was overflowing. Clothes were washed and distributed to the nurses at Bakie and Memorial. Any leftovers were then donated to other organizations in the community.
Spooktacular
The Bakie Boosters hosted their annual Spooktacular event on Oct. 28th. Activities included facepainting, games, coloring, a raffle and the Lincoln Spooky Bus! Donated snacks and hot chocolate were available for free and B's Tacos and Grace's Pizza kitchen were there for more hearty fare. The photo booth made and donated by the high school shop class was a big hit!
Coffee Cart of the Teachers and Staff
The Sanborn School Board and Bakie Boosters provided a coffee cart for the teachers and staff of Bakie Boosters on Friday 10/14. There was hot coffee, decaf and cold brew as well as apple cider, donuts, fruit and some gluten free options. Mr. Ambrose popped into several classrooms and hung out with the kids as the teachers visited the cart and got their treats. We hope to provide this type of event a few more times this year!
Bakie Open House
The Bakie Boosters had a self serve table at the open house. Lollipops were available for kids once they finished their scavenger hunt and turned in their vote for the Bakie dragon's name. We can't wait to find out which name won!
Reach the Beach Fundraiser
Reach the Beach is our first fundraiser of the 22-23 school year. Teams from around the country and even the around the world ran this 200 mile race that ended at Hampton Beach. The Bakie Boosters hosted a transition station in the Bakie parking lot where runners could pass the baton (really a green or orange slap on bracelet) to the next runner. Teams were able to stop and get snacks and drinks and rest a while before heading on to the next station. Volunteers flagged down the team vans and runners showing them where to go, recorded the times that team came through and handed out snacks. A big thank you to all that donated food and drinks and to the volunteers, especially the Sanborn High School Key Club members who were instrumental manning the food tables.
Flatbread Pizza Fundraiser
The Boosters organized the first Restaurant Night of the Year. Supporters got to enjoy some awesome Flatbread pizza and the Boosters got a portion of the proceeds to help fund our other events and support the kids this year!
