Conector: due to, owing to, because of, as a result of, as a consequence of
Example:
Due to the storm we cannot go to the beach.
(connector) + (cause) +(effect)
Owing to her kindness, Mia gave her a gift. (Karena kebaikannya, Mia memberinya hadiah.)
Because of this cooking book, I am able to cook my own meal. (Karena buku masak ini, aku jadi bisa memasak makananku sendiri.)
Rumus 2: Effect + Connector + Cause
I got sick due to the cold weather.
(effect) + (connector) + (cause)
The car was broken as a result of her recklessness. (Mobilnya rusak akibat kesembronoannya.)
Alvin got a warning as a consequence of his laziness. (Alvin dapat peringatan akibat kemalasannya.)
She was late because of her bad sleeping habit.(Dia terlambat karena jadwal tidurnya yang buruk.)
Conector: because, since, for, hence, thus, therefore, thereby, consequently, as a result
Example:
Because her brother lives in Jakarta, she must visit him every month. (Karena kakak laki-lakinya tinggal di Jakarta, dia harus mengunjunginya setiap bulan.)
This bag is expensive since the famous brand Chanel made it. (Tas ini sungguh mahal karena brand terkenal bernama Chanel yang membuatnya.)
My arms are hurt. Hence, i cannot swim today. (Lenganku sakit. Sehingga, aku tak dapat berenang hari ini.)
As our teacher has suggested to stay at home, she gives us a pile of homework. (Karena guru kami telah menyarankan untuk tetap di rumah, dia memberikan kami PR.)
He is invited to the party for he’s one of the funniest guys in school. (Dia diundang ke pesta karena dia merupakan salah satu orang paling humoris di sekolah.)
They haven’t turned 17 yet, as a result, they cannot join the international seminar. (Mereka belum 17 tahun, sehingga, mereka tidak bisa ikut seminar internasional.)
