level 99

Level 99, named as "Anemoia" is a level comprised of an unstable amalgamation of surreal dream-like spaces (labelled as The Dream Spaces) and a separate section resembling a mixture of levels (The Multi-Level Error) prone to a wide range of local events that unpredictably occur and which can space-to-space. Its apparent physical proximity to where Level 18 resides results in it mimicking the properties the level, causing the spaces within Anemoia to instead send wanderers to spaces resembling places that they find familiar or have indeed visited in the past. Historically, it is unknown whether or not the level was always like this. Perhaps it is the frontier to prepare wanderers for the gradual complexity and chaos residing further in the clusters of the Backrooms
