It is believed Level 6 may be able to influence one's perception of reality, resulting in symptoms of paranoia and derealization. Despite possessing no known tangible threats, Level 6 is regarded as being one of the most dangerous levels in the Backrooms because of its sheer darkness.

Level 6.1 resembles an infinite1 mall cafeteria, with a labyrinth of many snack bars and restaurants spread across the Level. These bars can vary in age and appearance, from modern day snack joints to bars recorded to be from as early as the 1600's. Entrances to these bars can be found within halls that resemble a mall set in the 1980's with many cafeteria tables and chairs in a navy blue color. However, the exits of these restaurants can possibly lead to another restaurant, even if you have entered the restaurant from the halls in that direction. This effect makes the layout of Level 6.1 fairly confusing. The M.E.G. Regiment "Track Mappers" have mapped out the controlled area of Level 6.1 and maps are given out to any Wanderer that asks. This is one of the first Sub-Levels that doesn't quite match its Level 6 counterpart.
Level 6.2 is, like its parent level, a series of rooms and corridors shrouded in complete darkness. The only difference between Level 6 and Level 6.2 is the fact that Level 6.2 is dimly lit via a series of neon lights which can be found scattered randomly on the ceilings, walls, and floors of the level. The presence of these neon lights seems to eliminate, or at least diminish, all the negative properties of the baseline Level 6.
Level 6.3 is a series of interconnected black hallways similar to Level 6 albeit the walls, floor, and ceiling are all covered in vantablack paint. It is assumed that the walls, floor, and ceiling are all made of smooth stone as its texture suggests. Any attempt to remove the paint even by a marginal amount has failed, and lights have even less of an effect compared to Level 6 due to the level's nature. Photography in the level is nearly impossible due to its design and similar nature to Level 6. There is also a phenomenon wherein those who enter cannot exit the way they came from in the level, and it is possible that the sub-level is completely randomized and actively shifts when not observed.
