My activities for Year 2 of Project HOPE involved contacting Project HOPE grant's CalVIP and Byrne community partners. Coordination of virtual or in-person meetings for the evaluation team's key informative interviews. The outcome of meeting would vary based on the contracted partner's availability and their response to participate. For a majority of the sites I was assigned, most remained (add percentage and detail how many did / out of how many total sent out). Due to reasons of irresponsive or unable to meet within the evaluation time frame from May 30th to July 11th. These included county agencies and community organizations: Vallejo Unified School District Superintendent, Solano Advocates for Victims of Violence (SAVV)/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)/Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), Victory Outreach, Solano County Sheriff's Office, and Solano County District Attorney.
My proposal of impromptu site visits, approved by my Program Manager, Anika Lee, were successful. Through my strategy I was able to create communication that led to completion of a couple of the interviews virtually, following the initial email and impromptu site visit to set up the meetings covering Healthy Vallejo (Impact Bible Ministries) with Pastor Anthony Summers, Michael's Transportation Services with Grant Coordinator Brandon Rodegeb, and the Solano County Public Defender's Office with Public Defender Elena D'Agustino. Following these site visits and interviews, the remainder of my role remained asynchronous and online with communication primarily through zoom and email to attempt communication throughout the semester with the non-response organizations.
