This portfolio showcases the design development of a visitor centre in Melaka that reconnects the city’s overlooked Portuguese heritage with the natural and historical significance of the Melaka River. Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and the principles of organic architecture, the project explores the relationship between culture, nature, and spatial experience through site studies, concept development, schematic design, technical drawings, and final presentation boards. The studio learning outcomes focused on developing creative design thinking through contextual analysis, spatial planning, and architectural principles. The project also strengthened skills in site analysis, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and the effective visualization of architectural ideas using drawings, diagrams, and presentation techniques.Â
