Adam received the shotput when he graduated from Ward Melville High School, and on his way to the University of Vermont. The UVM mascot is the catamount, a kind of wildcat. The ball took on the UVM colors, sporting various UVM paraphernalia. This is Adam during a visit to Jaffrey in the summer of 1992.
