We can collect people from the station that is about 2 miles from the wood. Coaches and trains also go to local towns.

No, people are welcome to attend the wood to have a walk, enjoy some alone time in nature or to attend the fortnightly picnic group. Some people enjoy conservation projects and the fresh air, excercise and satisfaction that they provide.

Yes, people decided that non autistic people could be quite triggering so the project is just for autistic adults, although people who need them can bring parents/carers/support workers.
Yes, there is wheelchair access to the centre of the wood and a wheelchair viewing area by a pond in the centre of the wood. There is also improved parking at the entrance to the wood. These improvements were made in 2025 with the help of volunteers. Due to the topography, bumpiness and wetness of some areas, it has not been possible to provide wheelchair access to some parts of the wood.
We discussed this as a group and decided to keep the woods location confidential (in order to protect it as a safe space for autistic people). Once we have spoken to new people and made sure they are genuine and that they are comfortable with the guidelines we can give directions to the wood. This keeps the wood a quiet, safe space for everyone .
The project is primarily for adults. There are ponds and a gorge in the wood which could be a safety hazard for children.
