These are a series of paintings by Vanda on the theme of a wood and describing the seasons within a wood. They were actually painted 40 years ago. Some of the canvas's are 5 -6ft and it was a real privilege to display artworks of this scale in the wood. They worked really well against the backdrop of the wood. It also presented some challenges such as keeping them dry when it rained. As this type of exhibition had not been done before we had to develop our own methods of displaying the pictures and protecting them from the rain. Fortunately it stayed reasonably dry for most of the time. We plan to do a similar exhibition next year and also possibly feature some glasswork and ceramics.
