There are many ways you can help support the butterfly population. Consider talking to your HOA or city leaders about adopting the mayor's monarch pledge or implementing community gardens. Get involved with a local plant society and learn about native host and nectar plants. Or better yet, plan your own community meeting to discuss with neighbors what impact the community can have on pollinators.
You can also connect with your elected officials through USA.gov and advocate for more pollinator friendly practices. Here are some other helpful resources:
