While sitting down inside Crepe Crazy, it wasn’t unordinary to hear the occasional opening of the door, or conversations flourishing between customers as they enjoyed their crepes. Sometimes, you might even hear Uber or DoorDash drivers coming in to pick up their orders, walking out after they get it. You would not hear the workers talking, however, you would see them talking as you look up and watch them communicating in sign language. Crepe Crazy is a deaf-owned business located in South Austin with other locations in Dripping Springs, and even one in Baltimore, Maryland. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner crepes, as well as dessert, with my favorite being the Nutella Royale with strawberries and bananas.
Crepe Crazy has a variety of Crepes to choose from, they offer Good Morning! Crepes until 2 pm such as G’Morning Parfait, a crepe with vanilla yogurt, bananas, and strawberries, all topped with toasted almonds and honey. Crepe Crazy carries many more items including separate toppings such as eggs, whipped cream cheese, and strawberries, as well as many others depending on your order. They also offer Savory Crepes, such as the Southwest, a crepe featuring red peppers, corn, black beans, tomatoes, red onion, Monterey jack, and romaine lettuce, all coated in chipotle lemon aioli. There are also the Sweet Crepes, those that I enjoy the most, such as Dulce de Leche Turtle, a dessert with caramel spread, two types of chocolate, and roasted walnuts. Taste as many as you’d like, I guarantee you’ll find one you’ll love.
I have visited this location multiple times, and every single time I go, the staff are friendly and I enjoy an amazing crepe. I have taken my family and friends, every one of them all loving it as well. Crepe Crazy is an amazing find and I am forever grateful I discovered it. It has become one of my all-time favorite food places in Austin, and being one of the best, everyone should hear about and try it.
