On January 6th, 2023, the Caminos took a field trip to the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, Texas - specifically to visit their "Forces of Nature" Exhibit on Mayan Art and Artifacts, but also to explore the rest of the museum. They created a collaborative zine reflecting on their experience at the museum. Now, the Caminos program visits the museum every year!

As of December 20, 2025, we took the caminantes to a very special place known as the Blanton Museum. It was a very sweet experience in which we were able to bond with one another and get a good deep dive into multiple cultural teachings. This place had room for many art mediums like spaniard, indigenous, modern, and various cool textiles. There was much we gained from this visit.
Caminos drew inspiration from various pieces and through that though process, came out with works that emphasized many different perspectives. Scroll drow to see those works!
