From beginning to end the we were treated to uncommonly good opportunity. Hours and hours of calm waters, spectacular scenery on all sides, above and below. Watching the colours of the water and how they changed depending on where we were on the lake and the depth of the water was fascinating. True the mosquitos were intense at times, bringing to sharp relief how dependent we are on supporting circumstance for happy mind states, and the occasional head winds brought morale into grudging trudging mode. However beneath and above these intense momentary experiences was an overarching stream of good and blessedness, filling us with gratitude for our incredible good fortune. Such a specular world we have access to, and so close to home. We are so lucky to be here, to live here.
