Zatharus Repair Drone

The Zatharus Repair Drone is an automated construction companion designed to handle one of the most repetitive tasks in Asylum 3.0—repairing and upgrading your base after attacks.

Instead of spending hours repairing damaged blocks by hand, Zatharus automatically repairs and upgrades structures using the materials you provide. Working alongside the Zatharus Companion Cube, the drone scans your chosen area, collects the required resources, and carries out repairs while you continue exploring, looting, or preparing for the next horde.

How It Works

Place both the Zatharus Repair Drone and its Companion Cube, supply the required building materials, then choose a working radius.

Once activated, the drone will:

• Scan the selected area for damaged structural blocks.

• Repair all damaged blocks automatically.

• Upgrade eligible blocks once repairs are complete.

• Collect required materials directly from the Companion Cube.

• Pause upgrades immediately if new damage occurs and prioritise repairs before resuming upgrade work.

Zatharus does not generate free resources. Every repair and upgrade consumes the correct materials from the Companion Cube or the drone's inventory.

The system can also be packed up and relocated, allowing the same drone to maintain your home base, restore a captured POI, or repair a temporary outpost wherever your adventure takes you.

Supported Repairs

By default, Zatharus repairs structural blocks, including player-built bases and supported building structures.

The following are excluded by default:

• Doors

• Windows

• Furniture

• Workstations

• Terrain

• Decorative blocks

• Trim blocks

• Trim shapes

• Machinery

These exclusions help prevent the drone from consuming resources on decorative or non-structural elements.

If you would like Zatharus to repair or upgrade any of these blocks, they can be added manually through the ZatharusConfig.xml configuration file. The configuration allows you to customise exactly which blocks are included or excluded from the repair and upgrade system to suit your own building style.

Requirements

• Designed for 7 Days to Die V3.0 (Build 259).

• Requires 0_TFP_Harmony.

• Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) must be disabled.

• Primarily designed for:

  • Single Player

  • Local Multiplayer

The drone is included as part of the Asylum AIO overhaul.

Note: Dedicated multiplayer server compatibility is still considered experimental. Features such as ownership, Companion Cube pairing, and persistence may not function correctly on all dedicated servers.

Tips

• Keep the Companion Cube stocked with repair materials to ensure uninterrupted operation.

• Repairs always take priority over upgrades, making Zatharus ideal for maintaining large horde bases.

• Increase the working radius for large compounds, or reduce it to focus on critical areas.

• If you use decorative trim or custom building pieces, consider editing ZatharusConfig.xml to include them in the repair and upgrade lists.

• Pack up and redeploy the system whenever you relocate or establish a new base.
