Elections for AOAHA Board Positions
There will be an “Asters on Almond Homeowners Association” meeting in April - May, at this meeting there will be a Board Candidate Forum. At the June meeting new Board Members will be elected to serve along with the remaining members who will be serving an additional year.
As stated in the By-Laws of Asters On Almond Homeowners Association an Illinois not-for-profit Corporation in Article IV, 4.03 "There shall be an annual meeting of the Owners on such day and such time in the 2nd quarter of each calendar year, as designated by the Board of Directors." Business transacted at the AOAHA annual meeting is establishment of a quorum, approval of prior annual minutes, introduction of candidates, counting of the ballots received, IRS Ruling 70-604 Resolution motion, election results, and election of officers. Therefore it is the opinion of the current AOAHA Board ten day notice will be sent via email to all owners of the date, time and place for the annual meeting to take place before June.

Elections are held each year at Spring time.
Term is for two years.
In Odd years, three candidates are elected. In even years, two candidates are elected.
Unit owners only are entitled to run for office and will receive the election material, if a unit is leased the lessee (person(s) occupying the unit) will not get the election material or mail it will go to the lessor (owner of the unit).

Around March - April – Letter is mailed by the secretary to all Homeowners announcing upcoming election and including a "Notice of Intent to run" form for all owners.
March - April– Homeowners interested in running for office send "Notice of Intent to run" form with a Biography of them to secretary.
Spring Meeting – Forum for Candidates at meeting.
Spring – Letter Announcing Candidates, Ballot and Ballot return Envelope mailed to all homeowners, one to each Lot / Owner). Note: if unit is leased homeowner letters go to the lessor for all election material.
June Meeting - Elections and announcement of newly elected Board members.
