Education and Career Guidance 

This is a one-stop microsite for all Education and Career Guidance (ECG) related matters @ ASR.  ECG guides you in making informed education and career choices, and our programme is premised on MOE’s ECG developmental model of career awareness, career exploration and career planning.

At ASR, our ECG programmes aim to provide you opportunities to:

• explore and develop your interests and strengths

• engage in deep learning

• apply your learning in real-world contexts to make a difference in your areas of passion

The goals of ECG in ASR (Figure 1) are to support you in:

• Discovering purpose, where we nurture your self-awareness to support you in discovering how you can meaningfully play a part in your community

• Exploring opportunities, where we develop your self-directedness and confidence to explore and leverage education and career opportunities while respecting the value of all occupations

• Staying relevant,  where we build your adaptability and resilience to embrace the need for lifelong learning

ASR’s ECG Programmes & Initiatives 

Industry Attachment Programme

• At the end of JC1, you can choose to take part in the ASR Industry Attachment Programme, which raises awareness in various industries such as sciences, engineering, law, healthcare, arts, hospitality and social services.

Annual Symposia

• In JC2, your exploration of possible education and career pathways will be enhanced by two annual Symposia:

  • Career and Industry Scholarship Symposium which sees more than 50 industry professionals and practitioners sharing their expertise and experiences.

  • University Symposium which allows you to explore the higher education landscape and the factors in choosing a programme of study at the university.
