The Living Rosary on October 11th was a beautiful devotion to our Blessed Mother. Thank you to Ron and everyone who participated and made this evening so special. Due to the weather the Living Rosary was held inside the church. Afterwards, light refreshments were served and enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to those who baked delicious desserts and helped with setting/cleaning up after this special evening.

Parish Calendar/Bulletin Deadline

Any group who would like to put their activities on the website calendar is asked to reach out to Donna Nemshick at 570-956-1859 or email dnemshi@gmail.com.

All items to be published in the bulletin must be emailed to churchofallsaints@ptd.net no later than 10 AM the Monday before publication. Any items submitted after 10 AM will be published in the following weeks bulletin.

Community Café Food Truck

Wednesday, October 21

The Catholic Charities Community Café Food Truck will be at All Saints McAdoo from 12:00pm-1:30pm.

Boscov’s Passes

This is the last weekend we will be selling Boscov’s passes after all the weekend masses. Thank you to all who sold passes. Friends Helping Friends Day is this Wednesday, October 21st. The Parish Center will be closed this day.

Capital Campaign 

THANK YOU for your continued support. We have collected $60,462.50. If you have not already pledged or contributed, it is not too late. Use the envelopes in your monthly mailing to be part of this most important campaign. We still have many more projects to do in our buildings, and these donations are instrumental for us to be able to complete them.

Improvement Update from the Buildings and Ground Committee

We are pleased to announce that the new heating system has been installed and is running smoothly in the IHM hall at a cost of $29,850 and 3 roofs have been installed in the Weatherly buildings at a cost of $14,200. All are paid in full!

Fall Festival

Thank You!!!! A huge thank you to to everyone who made our annual Fall Festival a huge success. Thank you to all the workers who spent countless hours making food, those who set up the IHM Hall with the chances and raffles and anyone who worked at the festival. Thank you to everyone who donated baskets, gift cards, lottery tickets, food or cash. And thank you to all of you who came out and supported our parish by attending our festival and purchased food, raffles or chances. A financial report will be given in a future bulletin.

Religious Education News 

Religious Education News –Our next Family Faith Session will be on Sunday, October 25. We will meet in All Saints Church at 5:30PM to recite the rosary then move to the IHM hall for a video on Our Lady of Fatima. The evening will include food and socializing with friends.

Parish Feast Day Celebration 

Tickets are on sale now after each mass and at the parish center. It will be held right on our feast day, Sunday, November 1st, the Feast of All Saints. On that day, mass will be celebrated at 3PM at All Saints. This mass will fulfill your weekly obligation. Immediately afterwards we will go over to the IHM hall for hors d’oeuvres and then dinner will be at 5PM. Following dinner, there will be music and dancing. BYOB to the dinner or participate in our annual Wine Pull. We need donations of a good bottle of wine for the occasion. Donations can be given to Father at each mass or brought to the Parish Center. The cost for the evening will be $25. Looking forward to seeing everyone at mass for 3PM and then enjoying an evening of food and fun in the IHM hall. This weekend will be the final weekend for ticket sales and no tickets will be sold at the door.

Prime Timers

All Saints Prime Timers meeting is on Wednesday, October 21st. Social begins at noon followed by the meeting at 1 PM. State Representative Dane Watro is the guest speaker. Members Christmas party is on Wednesday, December 9th, at noon. Reservations close on November the 27th.

Bingo

Next Bingo will be in Weatherly on November 15th. This fundraiser is a big help in keeping up with our weekly expenses. Mark your calendar to attend and enjoy an afternoon of fun.

Please make any checks for our parish made payable to All Saints Parish. Although we have two worship sites, we are ONE Parish. The bank returns any checks made payable to Our Lady of Lourdes.

Special Thanks

• We appreciate the work of Mark and Michael Grega in refinishing and refreshing the woodwork on the outside of the rectory at Our Lady of Lourdes. We also appreciate the work of Bruce Douglas and those who assisted in erection of the permanent sign at Our Lady of Lourdes. Work well done!

• IHM Hall – A new hot water system has been installed and ready for use. Thank you: Dale, Andy, and John.

• Presentation on the Mass – Thank you Ron, Jerome, and Rebecca for a beautiful presentation on the MASS. It will make us all think differently as we enter the church for mass in the future.

• The Taize`Prayer Service was a memorable experience for all those who attended Sunday evening. A heartfelt thank you to Monsignor Zemanik, Father Thomas, plus the amazing All Saints and St Ambrose Choir led by Ron made the evening, for Lent, perfect to honor our Lord. After the service there were light refreshments including, homemade desserts, for those who attended provided by the talented parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes. Many thanks to those who donated and made the evening special.

• The Weatherly Ecumenical Ministerium Service, hosted in Weatherly, at Our Lady of Lourdes, was another special evening with all dominations coming together to worship our Lord during this Lenten season. A heartfelt thanks goes to those who participated in any way including, Deacon John Matulevich, Ron and his very talented choir. Everyone had an enjoyable evening ending with The Knights of Columbus hosting the Social Hour with refreshments and delicious baked goods. Thank you to the ladies of the parish for their fantastic baked goods and all the help from the parishioners for their help before and after the service.

• A Special Thank You to John and Michelle Caravella and her family for graciously donating many cases of bottled water to our church for all of our activities.

• A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Grega Family for hosting the first Sunday in February Social Hour at OLOL, which was enjoyed by everyone. Many thanks to those who donated the delicious food and baked goods as well as those who helped before and after the event. This would not be possible without our parish family's help and volunteering. May God Bless You!

• We would like to thank the FCSLA – the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association for their donation of $600.

• Thank you to Gerard Grega for facilitating the acquisition of a pizza oven for Church of all Saints. 

• Thank you to McAdoo Machine Shop for making and donating the bracket for the cross at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Tresckow.

• The Green Chasuble for All Saints was donated by Tommy & Carol Pellock In Memory of John & Elizabeth Pellock.

• Thank you to John and Michelle Caravella for the generous, continued donation of water for Parish functions held at OLOL.

• Thank you to Rick Hoffman of R H Construction of Weatherly Rick and his employees have been doing maintenance of the St Joseph Parish Cemetery in Laurytown at no cost to the Parish. We appreciate his time and services in maintaining this sacred resting place of our earliest parishioners.

• All Saints Parish would like to offer a very heartfelt Thank You to the Thomas and Stritz Families. The money received from their estates will help the parish make many needed improvements. There will be a mass offered in Thanksgiving for their generous donations early next year.
