Legacy Sunday
Legacy Sunday weekend will be held at All Saints 09/12-09/13/26. The goal of Legacy Sunday is to encourage parishioners to reflect on the importance of faithful stewardship beyond their lifetime through planned giving and estate planning. A short presentation by a representative from Catholic Foundation will focus on the importance of planning for the future, caring for loved ones and considering how a legacy gift can help sustain our parish and its ministries for generations to come. More details will be presented at the Estate Planning Workshop on Monday, 09/21/26 at 6 pm in the IHM Hall.

Sunday, October 4, is traditionally the memorial of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron St. of Animals. Baskets will be located near the Pieta in All Saints Church and near the baptismal font in Our Lady of Lourdes Church for anyone wishing to donate items. Animals shelters can always use items such as dog and cat food, treats, collars, leashes, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc. If anyone wishes to make a cash donation, please just put it in an envelope marked “Animal Shelter” and place it in any collection basket. Our drive to help the animals will end on Monday, October 5, and all donations will be delivered to the local animal shelters that week. It is our duty as Christians to care for all of God’s creatures. Let us do our part. St. Francis, pray for them!

Hope for the Harvest
We thank God for all of our priests and sisters, however, there is a growing concern for the small amount of these good men and women who are challenged with task of serving the great number of God’s people. Beginning this year, our parish will be participating in a program in the dioceses, called, Hope for the Harvest. This program was formed in the hope of getting more young men and women interested in serving God in the holy Priesthood or consecrated life. This is the final weekend to return the “Called by Name” cards. Please return them in the baskets on the tables in the back of the church. We are inviting parishioners to pray for all young people and if you know of anyone you feel may have a calling by God to serve Him to in this capacity, to talk with either that person or if they are still a minor, to his or her parents and let them know that you would like to submit their names on this “Called by Name” card and either drop it in the basket next to the cards or take it home and after prayerful consideration bring it back by the following weekend. You may also drop it off at the Parish Center.
