The All Saints Parish Caring Message Ministry was founded in January 2022 after a parishioner visited a nursing home resident and was asked by the resident’s granddaughter to send her grandparent a card. Inspired by this heartfelt request, the parishioner brought the idea to the pastor, who gave his blessing for the ministry to begin. Since then, the Caring Message Ministry has shared Christ’s love by sending cards to parishioners who are shut in, residing in personal care or nursing homes, recovering from illness or surgery, mourning the loss of a loved one, or celebrating special moments like sacraments, milestone anniversaries and birthdays, graduations, and holidays. Over the past three years, ministry members have sent more than 1,500 cards, made possible by the generous donations and support of our parish family. In the spirit of the Jubilee of Hope, this ministry lives out the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:11 — “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”

The Caring Message Ministry (CMM) would like to thank those making donations to offset the cost of cards and mailings. A reminder, if there is anyone who has turned or will turn 90 please let us know. We will recognize them along with births, deaths, hospitalizations, recoveries and any special occasion. Please contact Donna at the Parish Center at 570-929-1073 and leave the names with her.
The CMM or Caring Message Ministry’s mission if to send cards to shut-ins from our parish for each holiday to raise their spirits and to help them to feel connected to the parish. As we grew, we decided to include cards of encouragement to parishioners who have lost a loved one, or who is ill or recovering from surgery, special birthdays and anniversaries. We include graduates and those receiving the sacraments. Members include Jennifer Collecio, Julie Fritz, Donna Hisney, Teresa Sheer, Mary Ann Magda, Donna Hinkle, Marianne Kluskiewicz, Shirley Mislitski and Donna Miscavige. To support the ministry, one collection a year is taken up during mass at each church. If you know of someone who should receive a card at any time during the year for any of the reasons above, please contact any of the members or the parish office with the name - 570-929-1073.
