IOC-UNESCO launches App and new version of the Ocean Literacy Portal

Dear Colleague,

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that IOC-UNESCO is launching today a new design of the Ocean Literacy Portal, and a new Ocean Literacy App.

Through these new tools we hope to help the International Ocean Literacy community to be connected more efficiently, and also to encourage new organizations, institutions and individuals to join us.

I invite you to share your resources, news, to write articles, and get involved!

Organizations, governments officials, policy-makers, educators, scientists, the business sector and citizens are welcome to register their profiles and share their actions within the Ocean Literacy Portal and App.

Designed with a new look, new functions, user friendly interface, the Portal and the Shoal app are aimed to share knowledge and best practices all over the world, facilitate the exchange of information and connect with experts, activists and passionate people.

Both platforms are an open space to engage, and to share the world ocean knowledge!

14th of December the IOC-UNESCO will celebrate its 60th anniversary as well as the launch of the second edition of the Global Ocean Science Report.

These two new tools will be presented as some of the new accomplishments of the IOC-UNESCO, and in that occasion we will also launch a social media campaign to further promote them.

If you want to register for the 60th IOC-UNESCO anniversary event follow this link.

Please, share this information within your networks, and we look forward to continuing working with you especially in view of the official start of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

Yours sincerely,

Francesca
