IPMEN (International Pacific Marine Educators Network) is a long-term partnership of AMEA, linking the promotion of ocean literacy in the Asia Pacific, especially the marine traditional ecology knowledge (TEK). In 2019, the AMEA committee decided that the AMEA conference should be coordinated with the IPMEN conference to be biennial, and that they would assist each other in organizing and participating. Both the 2020 IPMEN conference and the 2021AMEA conference were postponed due to the COVID19 epidemic. Following the successful hosting of the 2022 AMEA conference in South Korea last year(2022), the 2023IPMEN conference will be held at the University of Victoria, Canada from July 18-21. This conference is held in conjunction with the 2023NMEA (National Marine Educators Association). All AMEA partners are welcome to attend. The further information please refer to IPMEN webiste.
