Get Involved with SEPAC

Ashburnham-Westminster Special Education Parent Advisory Council members gain insight, knowledge, and strength from one another. Members have found that they work together to find solutions, and are able to make a difference in the quality of their children’s education.

How SEPAC Helps

The Ash-West SEPAC provides a network of resources and support for parents of students with disabilities in Ashburnham and Westminster, MA. Some of those supports include:

• Offering advice parent-to-parent about navigating special education services and what to do if you think your child has a disability

• Providing informational forums to parents, educators, and community members in order to broaden their understanding of the spectrum of disabilities

• Helping parents and guardians to understand special education laws, IEPs, 504 Plans, and other available support services

• Collaborating with school administrators, teachers, and school committee members to improve the educational opportunities available that promote positive educational outcomes for children with disabilities

Membership and Officers

General Ash-West SEPAC membership is open to all AWRSD parents/guardians of children with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans and other interested parties.
