The mission of the Ashburnham-Westminster Special Education Parent Advisory Council is to work for the understanding of, respect for, and support of all children with special needs attending public schools in Ashburnham and Westminster, MA. We promote:

• And support an innovative educational environment where children with disabilities have equal access to educational opportunities and a school and community environment where all children are encouraged to reach their full potential

• A network for parents/guardians of children with disabilities and provide a forum to share information and discuss matters of interest and concern regarding our children

• Communication and programs within the community to encourage understanding, respect, acceptance, and inclusion of children with disabilities

• Collaboration with the school community to continually improve the educational opportunities available within and without our schools that improve educational outcomes for children with disabilities

• Enhance communication between parents/guardians and the school administration
