Operative Logistics

1. Cross booking on the same floor has been reinstated and is allowed for Restorative, Periodontics, Prosthodontic Treatment, and Treatment Planning

• No appointments can be made earlier than 24 hours in advance

• Home clinic must be fully booked before a request is made

2. You may only check out a box of gloves from central every 7 days (previously every 10 days)

3. The class of 2028 is able to check out Fuji dispensers and Vita shade guides from central as confirmed by Ms. Tamesha Fields

4. Summer 2026 casting control schedule:

• Mondays: Dr. Morgan, 12:15 – 12:45 PM

• Tuesdays: Dr. Fisher, 8 – 9 AM

• Wednesdays: CLOSED

• Thursdays: Dr. Chamkasem, 8 – 9 AM

• Fridays: CLOSED

Restorative

1. Students will now receive 2 RVU's for assisting

• Code UASSTR must be added to the patient you are assisting, so be sure to receive chart access from your GPA ahead of time

Financial

1. Delta Dental has awarded UCLA with $100,000 grant with $93,5000 available for patient subsidies in the Dental Student General Clinic

• Effective July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027

• Goes toward procedures not covered by Denti-Cal
