What is the Artmy Discord Server?

The Artmy Discord Server is a community for Artmy, regardless of background and follower count! The server was created with the intent to provide a space where creators of BTS fan work can not only interact and meet one another, but also to share and improve their craft though our various resources/events and interacting on our server!

What activities/events are hosted?
Regular activities include Croquis Club, Movie Nights, Weekly Prompts, and Game Days! (see our Regular Activities page for more info). We host Seasonal Events such as Secret Santa and Summer Camp! (for more information on upcoming and past events see Upcoming Events and Archive). There are also Collaboration opportunities that are hosted by other members themselves!

How do I join the Artmy Discord Server? Are there any extra applications or requirements to join the server? Am I still able to join?
By clicking this invite link you will have immediate access to the Discord server, no applications or extra processes needed! The server has no member limit and you can click the invite link and join at any time you please!

Do I have to have a certain number of followers to join? Is this a space for artists to grow their following?
This server is open to all Artmy, follower count doesn't matter! This space isn't intended for specifically follower growth. We understand that account numbers is a stressful/touchy subject within the artist community so please refrain from bringing up these topics. The server is just a fun place for artists to chill and talk about their favorite hobby/job without having to worry about numbers and such! 💜💜💜

Are Artmys of all ages allowed to join? I am not 15 years old yet, am I allowed to join the server?
Sorry our server is strictly 15+ for safety and social reasons. But, once you turn 15 you are totally welcome to join!💜

Is the server open non-artists or open to artists who draw for other fandoms?
We're sorry, non-artists are not allowed to join the server :( We want this to be a safe-space for Artmy and the resources are specifically catered towards artists. You can join as long as you're a BTS fanartist and consider yourself an ARMY, multi-fandoms are more than welcome! 😊💜

Do I have to be a constant, active member on the server and participate in all server activities/events? Do I have to talk/interact with the other server members?
Nope~! 💜 You are not obligated to be an active member of the server, and you can pick and choose which resources and channels you will use. It's fine if you want to use the server for, as an example, purely for promotional purposes or critique. You can socialize and be active as much as you want or not at all. All activities/events are purely optional and the way you utilize the server is totally up to you! 😊💜

What do I do once I join the server? What can I expect to see and do once I join?
When you first join the server you will be asked to introduce yourself in the #📌︱self-intro channel and get roles in the #📌︱roles! [Shown in image] Then you can start chatting wherever you please :3 If you want a suggestion of where to start, we recommend either #💜💬︱mingle¹ or #🎨💬︱art-talk! And if you want to begin sharing art you can post your art in #🎨︱art-share! We understand it can be overwhelming when first joining, especially if you're not accustomed to discord, so please don't hesitate to ask if you need any help in the #📌︱help channel! There are a lot of channels and I get lost navigating it! Where can I find info about all the channels and how to use them?
You can view our Server Tour by clicking here. You can view each channel's descriptions by viewing the pinned messages of the channel. If you are ever unsure if you are using a channel correctly you can always ask in the #📌︱help channel!

Is there a space for NSFW artists? Are there channels for adults only?
Yes! We have an NSFW art share channel and other adult-only channels. These are the only channels in which NSFW/18+ content is allowed and no minors are able to view or join them. In order to access these channels, you will need to go to the pinned messages in #🔻💬︱adulting (only viewable if 18+).
All adult-only channels are indicated in the channel name with the🔻symbol and all channels that allow NSFW content are indicated with 🔞 (* NSFW CONTENT IS NOW ALLOWED IN CHANNELS THAT DO NOT HAVE 🔞, NO NSFW IF THE CHANNEL HAS🔻 ONLY *).
NSFW artists who wish to indicate that minors should not interact with their account can select the @nsfw artist - minors dni role in the pinned messages in #🔻💬︱adulting. If you select this role AND do not select a color role, your name will be displayed in red on the server.
Please make sure to read the rules posted in each of these channels to make sure you are using them correctly. These channels are monitored and have rules for safety and social purposes.

Can I join the server even if I don't post my art online?
As long as you're an artist that draws BTS then you're more than welcome to join and utilize the resources on the server! Although, we'd prefer that you have an art account and are comfortable with sharing your art in this space.

What time zone does the server run in?
All event and activity times are posted in Pacific Standard/Daylight Time (PST/PDT) but the server is open 24/7! If you view our Google Calendar you can view when activities and events are in your timezone~

Are there chats that are for specific languages? Can we speak/interact in languages other than English?
Unfortunately, we do not have language-specific channels. Our staff would not be able to moderate them and we want to limit the amount of channels to keep the server organized. We are an English-based server but you are welcome to speak and interact with others in different languages as you please💜
