Private Sewing

MACHINE:  Learn the basics of safely sewing on a machine and soon advance to using a pattern. Beginning projects can include a drawstring bag, grocery bag, or pillowcase. After a few simple projects, you will then learn about patterns, how to purchase the right amount of material and notions, how to cut out your pattern and fabric and to understand and follow the printed directions. Projects can include an alphabet letter pillow, home decor, and clothing. Ages 9 and up

Intermediate students will learn how to adjust patterns to fit. Advanced students will learn how to change a pattern to create your own style variations. 

$40 per student for a 60 minute private session or $145 for a package of four sessions

HAND SEWING:  Create small, cute projects, including stuffies, while you learn to hand stitch. You may also choose to learn about cross stitch and/or embroidery. This class is suitable for ages 7 and up.

$35 per student for a 60 minute private session or $135 per month for 4 sessions. 

Materials provided for the first lesson and then you may choose and purchase your own materials.

Discounted Group Sewing

MACHINE: 

To join the semi-private 2 person class, you must already know the basics of using a sewing machine and how to use a simple pattern. You must be able to demonstrate your abilities to the instructor. 

$130 per student per month for four 80 minute sessions.

To join the 3 person class, you must already have experience in sewing patterns and be able to demonstrate your abilities to the instructor. During class time you will each be able to work on projects of your own choosing and have the help and supervision of the teacher. Those who want to use their own sewing machine may bring it to class.

$90 per student per month for four 90 minute sessions.

HAND SEWING: 

To join the semi-private 2 person class, you must have the ability to remember instructions and follow through on your own. No previous sewing experience is necessary.

 $120 per student per month for four 60 minute sessions. 

To join the 3 person class, you must already have experience in hand sewing and following through on your own to create projects.

$80 per student per month for four 75 minute sessions.
